The Year of Multi-Billionaires / Webinar on Market Dynamics

2022 has started very strong, and automobile mania continues, especially with TSLA and F. Thus far this week we have had some amazing trades on these 2 stocks. Please watch the recap that Brian and I posted yesterday regarding our trades on F as well as the recap regarding today’s trading on F.
Speaking of Tesla, you may have seen that Elon Musk’s wealth has soared to levels previously achieved only by John D. Rockefeller (adjusted for inflation). In so many different ways, 2021 was the year of the multi-billionaires. Of note, Bill Hwang actually lost $20 billion in 2 days! The sudden collapse of Hwang’s New York-based Archegos Capital Management has been called the fastest single loss by an individual in history. In addition, Bill Gates — once the world’s richest man — divorced under a Jeffrey Epstein cloud. As listed by Bloomberg, there are now 10 high-net-worth entrepreneurs worth in excess of $100 billion each.
Some fun facts to know: Apple at $182.86 became the first company in the word to reach a market cap of 3 trillion dollars! Isn’t it crazy that only 4 countries in the world have a higher GDP than Apple’s market cap — the United States, China, Japan, and Germany? One could say that the rest of the world is smaller than Apple!
Today in Wednesday Psychology, Dr. Kenneth Reid will be speaking about market dynamics. I have found over the years that there are 2 general types of traders: those who prefer to trade the ranges and those who prefer trends. Of course, there are 2 mindsets that correspond to these preferences. Mismatchers are natural skeptics who expect reversals and matchers are naturally ‘agreeable’ folks who expect continuation. In tonight’s webinar, Dr. Reid will elaborate on this concept and he will highlight 2 features in DAS that you might not yet be aware of. If implemented properly, these 2 features could contribute to this synergy. Dr. Reid’s presentation is titled Matchers and Mismatchers and it begins at 8pm ET in the webinar room.
