Heavy Loss This Week and Importance of Mentorship
Dear Traders,
This week has been frustrating for me and my trading. Both Apple and Tesla trades ended negatively today, and it seems this week will end in deep red for me.
Apple was particularly frustrating as it reached an astonishing market capitalization of $3 trillion at a price of $189.88. Breaking the all-time high around $199 was incredibly challenging, even though there was a significant ask at $190. I encourage you to watch the video of my Level 2 analysis for the break of $190.
During weeks like this, when I experience significant losses and most of my trades don’t work out, being among my peers like Brian and other community members provides immense support. The companionship of a group of serious traders committed to mastery has been instrumental in helping me through tough times. Acknowledging these challenging moments reminds me of the importance of perseverance and seeking guidance.
Just like my climb on Mount Everest on May 19, 2023, where my sherpa served as a trusted mentor and guide, our personal and professional journeys can greatly benefit from having a mentor. I share it here as a reminder of the significance of having someone experienced by your side, offering support, wisdom, and direction.
When I encountered the first dead climber near the South summit, I was terrified. The climber had only passed away a few hours earlier, and his body was still connected to the fixed rope, which we needed to cross. His headlamp was still on, as shown in the picture below. I prefer not to share pictures of deceased climbers, as it is generally frowned upon in the mountaineering community, despite having a better captivating photograph of that climber. I felt overwhelmed and considered turning back. However, it was my sherpa who held my arms and assured me that I could do it. He pushed me to complete the final hour to reach the summit.
