The Long Game Revisited
Date & Time: February 4, 2026 — 8:00 pm ET
Presented by: Dr. Kenneth Reid
Psychologists began studying learning and memory in the 1880’s. They came up with well-known constructs like the “learning curve,” but also more obscure concepts such as the “forgetting curve” and “spacing/pacing” effects. Turns out, without repeated reinforcement we lose about half of what we learn within an hour. 70% disappears within a day. 90% gone inside a month. This is why we repeat the same mistakes in trading. This is why bad habits are so resistant to change. We have to work hard just to stay even. This ‘situation’ has implications for how to study the market and study yourself. I gave a webinar on this topic a year ago… this is an update. And I’ll present evidence for a very unusual solution.
