Back From Italy with 817% Return on PLTR

Dear Traders,

I’m finally back from Italy! It’s been one week now, and what an amazing trip it was. I flew out last Friday, the 23rd, and spent three unforgettable nights at Timothy Sykes’ villa in the Amalfi Coast, right in Positano. He was kind enough to invite me, and I couldn’t say no.

As many of you know, Timothy actually came to speak at our TEDx Vancouver event, which you can watch the videos here. He shared his journey of trading penny stocks, living the laptop lifestyle, and how the world of trading shaped who he is today. Hearing his talk and then spending time with him in Italy gave me a deeper appreciation for his path.

Timothy Sykes is a lovely person and, of course, a controversial figure, especially in the trading world. Penny stocks always come with a mix of opinions. I’ve never traded like him, and to be honest, I haven’t really followed his videos or content closely. But here’s what I do respect: what he’s built.

He’s one of the pioneers of turning trading, especially penny stock trading, into a platform for education, travel, and the global community. That resonates with me. Even if I don’t agree with every part of someone’s method or philosophy, I believe you can still be inspired by their energy, vision, or what they’ve created. And that’s exactly how I feel about Tim.

I think sometimes we put too much pressure on fully agreeing with someone to learn from them. But inspiration can come in pieces, it can come from unexpected people or places. I get inspired by many of you in our community all the time. Even Brian, for example, still inspires me with his consistency, style, and discipline. That’s the beauty of surrounding yourself with people who are passionate about what they do.

I posted a couple of photos of me and Tim in Positano. It was honestly stunning. The view from the villa was surreal, like something straight out of a dream.

After Positano, I headed to Rome for three nights. I had never been to Rome before, and wow… what a place. It’s easily one of the most historic and beautiful cities I’ve ever seen. Everywhere you go, you’re walking through centuries of history. I did my usual thing, running around the city, exploring on foot, soaking it all in.

First time in Rome, and standing at the Colosseum left me speechless. After Positano, I spent three nights exploring this incredible city, and it truly lived up to the hype.

I visited the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Vatican, and of course, found a few amazing espresso spots along the way. There’s just something magical about Rome, like time slows down a bit so you can truly appreciate it all.

Then, on Thursday, I flew back to Vancouver. And today, Friday, I’m back at my desk, trading again.

Back to Trading – What a Wild Day

This morning, I was still feeling the jet lag. I woke up around 3 a.m. my time (6 a.m. New York time) and saw right away that the market was reacting to some big news. Initially, it gapped up on the announcement that tariffs with Europe were moving forward. But things quickly flipped when a federal court stepped in to block President Trump from enforcing those tariffs… only for the Court of Appeals to step in later and hand the power back to him.

The result? A lot of market confusion and uncertainty basically, a dream setup for us traders. That kind of volatility is exactly where opportunity lives.

My trade on PLTR today, timed perfectly after the 10 a.m. economic data drop. I built into the position with heavy adds as the market found relief, and it paid off big: over $100,000 in profit. What a day.
