Happy Thanksgiving + An Amazing Trade on SMCI

Dear Traders,

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends! Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to pause and reflect on everything we’re grateful for. Gratitude is powerful—it’s not just about appreciating what you have, but it’s also a key to personal growth. You can truly grow only when you take the time to recognize the blessings in your life.

I encourage you to take this time to reflect on life’s blessings—friends, family, health, and even the simple conveniences we often take for granted. Traveling the world has opened my eyes to how different life is in some places. For example, I’ve visited Papua New Guinea twice and saw firsthand how people live primitively. Something as basic as a house with hot water is an unimaginable luxury for many. In that sense, we are all billionaires in the grand scheme of things.

For me, I’m incredibly thankful for the Bear Bull Traders community. Starting from zero, I’ve been fortunate to achieve a lot in life, but nothing compares to the joy of having a global family like ours.

Life hasn’t always been easy—I’ve lost my father early and experienced profound loss in my personal life such as my divorce. These experiences have taught me how important it is to value the people who bring joy and support into your life. The Bear Bull Traders community has helped me grow as a person and a trader, and I’m excited to spend 10 days next week in Colombia with many of you during our first trading retreat!

Speaking of community, today was an incredible trading day! Paras, Brian, and I all took an amazing trade on SMCI. It started when one of our talented traders in Arizona, Sahmed, called out SMCI as a potential opportunity at 6:37 AM Pacific Time. (See the chat below for details.)

Sahmed mentioning SMCI at 9:37 am ET (6:37 am PT)

As soon as Sahmed mentioned it, I noticed one of my favorite setups forming—a 5-minute bullish engulfing pattern with heavy volume above VWAP. I went long, and Brian pointed out the bookmap was showing heavy Asks stacking up, confirming the move. Paras also joined in, trading off the order flow.

My trade entry on $SMCI was based on one of our members’ hint. Notice how the big asks kept driving the price higher and higher!

We saw an impressive 10% move, from below $35 to over $37 per share! I added on a pullback, and it turned out to be one of the best trades of the day. Huge thanks to Sahmed for the initial callout and to Brian and Paras for sharing their insights during the trade.

Paras also took an amazing trade on $SMCI! He trades based on order flow and reading price action, which is a bit different from how Brian and I manage our trades.

If you’re curious about how Paras adds to his positions using Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 strategies, now’s the perfect time to check out his course! It’s currently 50% off for Black Friday. Don’t miss out!

I also decided to include a recap of this trade to show you my thought process. I hope you enjoy watching this breakdown—feel free to drop any questions in the comments below!

Check out my SMCI trade recap.
