Nasdaq Just Hit Bull Market Territory
Dear Traders,
The stock market is exploding today after news broke about a temporary US-China tariff rollback. US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant is currently in Switzerland alongside the US Trade Representative, holding very constructive talks about the global trade situation with China.
As I’m writing this, the S&P 500 is up over 3.1%, the QQQs are up almost 4%, and the Dow Jones is also over 3%. The market has now recovered a big chunk of the losses we saw in April.
This current market feels a lot like what we saw during the pandemic: a sharp drop followed by a sharp, V-shaped recovery. The April 2025 bear market was driven more by policy shifts, not economic fundamentals. It’s very different from the 2022 bear market, which was caused by the Fed’s monetary tightening and attempts to control the business cycle. What we’re seeing now is that once the policy shifted again, the recovery was fast and strong.
Trading opportunities have been amazing. Why is volatility good for day traders?
Volatility means movement, and movement is opportunity. When stocks swing in either direction, it gives day traders clear setups, quick entries and exits, and strong profit potential. The key is risk management—with the right strategy, tools, and mindset, volatility becomes your best friend in the market. But without discipline and a solid plan, it can quickly turn against you. That’s why we always emphasize managing your risk and sticking to your strategy.
Today, I had one of my best trading days on a stock I’ve never traded before, Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (ticker: HIMS). This stock has had a wild ride recently, moving from $20 to $70 like a classic meme stock.
I want to give a shoutout to Amir Parsa, one of our longtime traders (over five years with us), who mentioned this ticker in the chat at 9:35 AM. As soon as I saw the setup forming, I went long and added more on the break of the pre-market high. It turned out to be a really profitable trade.
