The American Dream Is Still Alive: I’m Living Proof

I want to wish a belated Happy 4th of July to all of our American readers and friends. Every time this holiday comes around, I’m reminded of something powerful: the American Dream is still alive.

I may live in Canada, but I’m living the American Dream.

I came from a country shaped by revolution and war. I wasn’t handed anything. I had to work, study, and grind my way forward. But when I moved to Canada and started trading the U.S. stock market, everything changed. It opened a new chapter in my life, one where the harder I worked, the more opportunities showed up.

The U.S. market, with all its ups and downs, gave me a chance to build something meaningful. And I’m grateful every day for that. Despite how polarizing politics can look from the outside, what I see when I look at America is hope, opportunity, and resilience.

Some of my closest friends are on both sides of the political spectrum, left and right, and I’ve always found deep respect, honesty, and shared values in all corners of this country. To me, America is still one of the most incredible places on Earth, a place where if you’re willing to work, learn, and adapt, there’s a real shot at building the life you want.

A Historic Moment at Nasdaq

Last week, on July 3rd at 1 p.m., Brian and I had the absolute honor of ringing the Nasdaq Closing Bell.

It was a surreal and humbling experience. The Nasdaq Composite QQQ had just hit another remarkable all-time high, and we were there, standing on the floor, representing our community of traders and learners from around the world. This moment wasn’t just for us, it was for all of you who’ve supported us, learned with us, traded with us, and built with us.

As I wrote above, last week, Brian and I were honored to be at the Nasdaq closing bell ceremony. One of the biggest exchanges in the world, where hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars are traded, and we were right there on the floor. It was a surreal and historic moment.
