The Kill Zone

61.8% is the Golden Ratio… and when I first began to study and apply Fibonacci math to my own trading it was considered to be the “ideal” Fibonacci retracement. A deeper pullback was deemed a sign of weakness. For years now I’ve found that a deeper retracement into the zone below the 61.8% level is the new “ideal.” I call it the Kill Zone because it’s an area where many good trend trades die unnecessarily.
