What is going on in the market?
Dear Traders,
I am back from my trip to Papua New Guinea and climbing the 6th of the Seven Summits, the 7 highest peaks on each continent. On the way home, I stopped in Australia for 3 days and saw Brisbane, Canberra, and Sydney. On short notice, 15 traders from Sydney came out and we had a very nice meetup.
I couldn’t believe we have this many traders in Sydney. The time zone is horrible for day trading! The US market opens at 11:30 pm right now, and later it will change to 1:30 am! It’s very difficult to trade in those times zones!
Trading was amazing, I had two excellent trades on AMD, which I traded LIVE on our YouTube channel. The trade was a short squeeze above VWAP.
As more and more quarterly earnings are released, the market remains unbelievably volatile. AMD and NVDA both fell today. NVDA over 5% and AMD almost 10%. Then they bounced when the Federal Reserve stated that they do not plan to increase the rates and will hold steady until more data comes in. The market rallied up 1%, but then fell at the end of the day when news broke of the Bank of Japan’s intervention to protect the Japanese yen against the USD.
